Feature details
Power BI is introducing a centralized experience for shared and certified datasets. The Power BI dataset discovery hub empowers Power BI and Microsoft Teams users to discover and re-use organizational and curated datasets and answer their own business questions either in Power BI or in Excel. For data owners, the hub will empower them to manage their data assets in a central location. Namely, users will be able to:
- Discover curated, non-curated, and recommended datasets which were shared with them, and explore relevant dataset properties (description, sensitivity, refresh time, and so forth).
- Create a report based on a selected dataset or start from a template report.
- Analyze a dataset in Excel.
- View lineage and impact for the selected dataset.
- Discover related reports.
- Explore usage information for the selected dataset.
