Gen. Prod. Posting Group Field, Service Line Table
Contains the code for the general product posting group of the item or resource on this line.
The program automatically copies the code from the Gen. Prod. Posting Group field on the item card, resource card or G/L account card when you fill in the No. field on this service line.
The program copies the code from the Gen. Prod. Posting Group field on the Item card if the Type field is Item. In case the type is set to Resource, the program retrieves the information from the Gen. Prod. Posting Group field on the Resource Card. If the type is Cost, the program copies the code from the Gen. Prod. Posting Group field on the G/L Account Card. You can find the number of the account corresponding to a particular cost in the Account No. field in the Service Costs window.
Normally, you should not change the contents of this field, but it may be necessary in special cases where the default code is not appropriate.
