Follow-up article on DHCP server callout DLL.

Hi all,

I got a VS.NET solution for the sample DHCP server callout DLL. I have shared it to the world here: https://www.geocities.com/anto_rocks/DHCPCalloutDL.zip. Please let me know of any copyright issues as i do not know who wrote this code. I suppose this will work as i did not test it out myself. I just got it from my colleague.

Thanks, A.J.Anto

    DON'T DOWNLOAD THIS FILE.

The 35mb site requires that you install a plugin in order to download the file. As far as I can tell all this plugin does is install lots of ad and spyware. Please find another service to host your files.

Your original article is interesting, however you didn't implement the most interesting part - handling the chaining of multiple callout dlls.

I've implemented this, but have no real way of testing this except loading my own dll twice (with different names), which seems to work. A Microsoft testbed would have been nice, though.

I have a different question: I can get the callout dll to work great under 2000 server and 2003 server, however on 2003 server with SP1, the dll doesn't get loaded. If I use regmon to monitor the registry, I see that the CalloutDlls and CalloutEnabled keys never get accessed.

Has this functionality been removed from 2003 server SP1?

    Thanks,

    Charlie
