Creating an Audiopath

Windows Media Encoder SDK banner art

A new audiopath can be based on one of the Standard Audiopaths or on another existing audiopath in the project tree. You can also create a new, empty audiopath that contains a single default Stereo (L+R) bus that sends output to a User Defined buffer.

If you create an audiopath file based on a standard audiopath, it contains a single mix group, receives the signal from PChannels 1 through 128, and uses preset choices for buses and buffers.

Audiopaths are fully editable whether or not they are based on standard audiopaths. Standard audiopaths are a convenience for setting up common output scenarios, but you are free to modify audiopaths based on them.
