Mix Group Properties

The Properties Window for a selected mix group is shown in the following figure.

The window contains the following settings:

• Mix group name

  Name of the group as displayed in the Audiopath Designer window.

• Synthesizer

  Output port for the PChannels in the mix group. Output ports can include any compatible software synthesizers or hardware playback devices installed on your computer. The Default Synth is usually the Microsoft Synthesizer, but this can be changed in the MIDI/Performance Options Dialog Box.

Note Not all synthesizers support all audiopath features. For example, some do not support all effects. Selecting specific hardware is useful in testing the use of your files with the hardware, but the Default Synthesizer is generally recommended for any content that is to be redistributed on other machines.

• Edit Synth Properties

  For synthesizers that do not support output to DirectSound buffers, you can click this button to display the Edit Synth Settings Dialog Box and set properties for the synthesizer within this audiopath.
