Output Status Toolbar
The Output Status toolbar displays information about which PChannels are playing and enables you to mute PChannels.
Each time a channel is used for playback, a button is added to the toolbar and remains there until you exit DirectMusic Producer. The button displays the number and name of the PChannel. As the channel plays, the button also displays a yellow output meter. The height of this meter reflects the volume of notes on the channel, and it is a brighter yellow when a note begins playing.
Right-clicking an output button displays the Edit PChannel Name dialog box, which enables you to change the name displayed on the button. PChannel names are global throughout the project.
The following figure shows channels 5 and 10 producing sounds.
