PChannel Pitch Bend Range
The following settings in the PChannel Properties window specify how far a maximum pitch bend, as set by Continuous Controllers, changes the pitch:
PB Range
If this check box is selected, new pitch bend range settings are applied. If not selected, the previous settings continue to be used.
Oct
Number of octaves by which the instrument part can be transposed. This value must be a whole number in the range from 0 to 10.
Int
Interval by which the instrument part can be transposed. Possible values range between a minor 2nd and a major 7th. A minus sign indicates a transposition downward; otherwise the transposition is upward. Alternatively, you can type a number between –11 and 11 to represent the number of half steps for the desired transposition. This number will be changed to the standard notation when the text box is deselected.
The Oct and Int text boxes work in tandem just as they do in the PChannel Octave and Interval Transposition group. The maximum range is 127 semitones, which is 10 octaves plus a 5th. The minimum range is 0, which means that pitch bend has no effect at all.
The range applies both above and below the note. A range of one octave, for example, means that the note can be bent from one octave lower to one octave higher, not that the entire range of possible pitches is only one octave.
