Segment/Motif Trigger Properties

The Properties Window for a marker in the Segment Trigger Track is shown in the following figure.

Segment/Motif Trigger Properties window

The window contains two tabs:

  • Segment Tab

    This tab contains the settings shown in the following table.

    Setting Notes
    Segment Select to trigger a segment.
    Motif Select to trigger a motif.
    Segment or Style Select the segment to play, or the style containing the motif.
    Motif Select a motif.
    Type Select Primary or Secondary to specify the role of the segment. Select Controlling Segment to make a secondary segment controlling. For more information, see Primary and Secondary Segments and Controlling Segments.
    Start Time Time at which the segment or motif is triggered.
    Belongs To See Belongs to Beat.

  • Boundary Tab

    This tab contains performance boundary settings to override the default settings of a segment that is triggered. For information, see Boundaries and Segment Alignment.
