Standard Environmental Reverb Buffer

Windows Media Encoder SDK banner art

The Standard Environmental Reverb buffer is a standard buffer containing an effect not found in the Effect Palette. It serves only as a destination buffer for Send Effects. It does not have any PChannels, because it can accept data from buffers belonging to any mix group. An audiopath can have only one of these buffers.

To insert a Standard Environmental Reverb buffer, right-click on the Mix Group column and click Insert Env Reverb. The buffer is assigned to a special mix group called Standard Env. Reverb, which is available as a destination for Send effects in the same audiopath. There can be only one such mix group in an audiopath.

The only property in the Buffer Properties window that can be changed is Share buffer with other audiopaths.

You cannot edit the default parameters of the Standard Environmental Reverb effect. However, parameters can be changed dynamically by the Parameter Control Track, and directly by applications.
