Before you perform this procedure, confirm that:
You have read the topic Manage user profiles and user profile properties.
Your system is running either the Standard or Enterprise version of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007.
Important
Administrators must have access to the Shared Services Provider (SSP) administration site, and must have the Manage User Profiles permission enabled to complete this procedure.
To import user profiles
Use this procedure to import user profiles. To import information for all users, run a full import. To import information for new users only, run an incremental import.
Import user profiles
On the home page of the SSP administration site, in the User Profiles and My Sites section, click User profiles and properties.
On the User Profiles and Properties page, in the Profile and Import Settings section, do one of the following:
To start a full import of user profiles, click Start full import.
To start an incremental import of user profiles, click Start incremental import.
To stop the current import, click Stop import.
