To view site collection usage reports
Use this procedure to view site collection usage reports. You can view statistics about number of users, page requests, search queries, and referring and destination locations for visitors to your site collection. That information can be used to improve the performance and usefulness of the sites used by your organization.
View site collection usage reports
On the top-level site in a site collection, on the Site Actions menu, point to Site Settings, and then click Modify All Site Settings.
On the Site Settings page, in the Site Collection Administration section, click Site collection usage reports.
Note
Site collection administration settings are only available from the top-level site in the site collection. The top-level sites for individual, personal sites and the Shared Services Administration site do not provide site collection usage reports. Instead, those sites provide site collection usage summary pages. For more information about viewing site collection summary pages, see View site collection usage summary page.
