IXRRun (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)

1/6/2010

This class represents a discrete section of formatted or unformatted text.

Syntax

class IXRRun : public IXRInline

Methods

Method Description

IXRRun::GetText

Retrieves the text contents of this run of text.

IXRRun::SetText

Sets the text contents of this run of text.

Remarks

The IXRRun and IXRLineBreak objects are the basic units of content for a text block. To format the text in a text block, you can create IXRRun objects and apply formatting to them by using its methods inherited from IXRInline. Add line breaks by introducing IXRInlineIXRLineBreak objects.

You can store IXRRun objects in an IXRInlineCollection object. You supply this collection object to the method IXRTextBlock::SetInlines to set text content for a text block.

You can also define a run element in Microsoft Silverlight 2 XAML. For information about the differences between XAML in Silverlight for Windows Embedded and Silverlight 2, see Differences Between Silverlight for the Web and Silverlight for Windows Embedded. For more information about how to define this element in the source XAML for your application, see this Microsoft Web site.
