Embedded Device with Silverlight XAML Design Template (Compact 7)

In Windows Embedded Compact, you can use the Embedded Device with Silverlight XAML design template to create an OS that has a UI based on Silverlight for Windows Embedded.
The design template provides the following configurable features:
- Microsoft Silverlight for Windows Embedded
- Sample home screen
- Screen size selection
- Themes
- Internet Explorer Embedded
- Windows music player
- Windows photo viewer
- Windows video player
- Control panels
- Bluetooth settings
- Software-based input panel (SIP)

When you use the OS Design Wizard in Platform Builder, select the Embedded Device with Silverlight XAML design template to create an OS for a Silverlight for Windows Embedded device.
In the OS Design Wizard, you can select a display screen size and theme set for your OS. The design template supports the following screen sizes: 640 × 480, 800 × 480, or 1920 × 1080 pixels. For more information about these options, see Sample Home Screen Catalog Items and Sysgen Variables.
When you are finished with the OS Design Wizard, you can add other catalog items to your OS design.
