How to Sequence Product Variants

This topic describes how to sequence product variants in a product family.
To sequence product variants
Click Start, point to Microsoft Commerce Server 2007 , and then click Catalog Manager.
In Commerce Server Catalog Manager, in the Views pane, click Catalogs.
In the Catalogs pane, select the catalog and category that contains the product variants that you want to sequence.
In the Category and Product Details pane, select the product that contains the product variants that you want to sequence.
In the Task pane, click Sequence Variants.
In the Sequence Variants screen, do the following:

Parent
View the parent product.
You cannot edit this box.
Sequencing Order
To sequence the variants, select the variant you want to move, and then click Move Up or Move Down until the variant is in the position you want. You can also use Move to Top or Move to Bottom to move the selected variant to either the top or the bottom of the list.
The order in which the variants appear in the list is also the order in which they appear in the catalog.
Click OK.
