Signpost Track
The signpost track contains markers for signpost groups. This track is used in segments that contain a Chordmap Track, and helps define the chords that can be chosen when segment chords are composed.
Thirteen signpost groups (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, A, B, C, D, E, or F) are available in a chordmap file. When you place a signpost group marker in a signpost track, it specifies that a signpost chord from that group is to be placed in the Chord Track at the position of the marker.
In order to draw chords from a chordmap, the signpost track must contain at least one group marker. In addition, the specified chordmap must have at least one chord assigned to the signpost group specified by the marker.
Signpost chords often have chord paths that extend from them. A signpost track must have at least two signposts in order for any chord paths to be used. In addition, the two signposts must be separated by the number of measures required to fit the chord path. If no paths fit, then the signposts are used without their paths.
