Snap To
The Snap To command on the timeline shortcut menu affects the behavior of the rectangular Insertion Marker that appears when you click a note editing window. The insertion point snaps to the nearest grid, beat, or bar division according to the setting. The length of the insertion marker is also determined by the setting. For example, if you choose Grid, the length of the insertion marker is one grid, and every note you insert has a default length of one grid.
This setting also determines the minimum increment when you drag the cursor across the timeline to select data in tracks.
Right-click the timeline, click Snap To, and select one of the four options shown in the following figure.
