How to Use the IP Phone to Call Windows Messenger
You can use an IP phone to call a Windows Messenger client. To connect to a Messenger client, you must configure the Communications Service to use a SIP server.
Hardware and Software Assumptions
- You have a Windows XP operating system and a Windows Messenger. To get the latest version of Windows Messenger, see the Microsoft Download Center.
- You have a SIP server already configured.
- Your Platform Builder installation includes the CEPC x86 or Emulator X86 board support package.
- Your computer has an audio card, microphone, and speaker.
