Transport Communication Types (Compact 7)

3/12/2014

Connectivity Manager uses a communication transport to communicate over the physical connection between a development computer and a Windows Embedded Compact powered device. Connectivity Manager supports different transport communication types to connect a device with a remote tool on the development computer. In this guide, we discuss two transport communication types, KITL transport and TCP connect transport.

In This Section

  • KITL Transport
Provides the communication link between a development computer and a device running Windows Embedded Compact.
  • TCP Connect Transport
Uses the TCP/IP protocol and provides the communication link between a development computer and a device running Windows Embedded Compact.
