Editing Data in a Segment Track

Windows Media Encoder SDK banner art

After you have placed an object such as a chord, style, and band in a segment, you can manipulate it in a number of ways:

  • Delete it by selecting it and pressing the DELETE key.
  • Cut or copy it to the Clipboard, then paste it, using the standard keyboard commands.
  • Drag it to a new position by using the mouse, or copy it by holding the CTRL key while dragging.
  • Open a Properties Window by pressing F11.

To perform any of these functions, you first need to select the object by clicking on it. You can also select commands from a shortcut menu by right-clicking on the object.

All these operations can be performed on multiple selected objects. You can select multiple objects by holding down the CTRL or SHIFT key when clicking. You can also select all objects in a track by clicking Select All on the shortcut menu for one of the objects.

For more information on selecting multiple objects, see the following topics:

For specific information on editing track object properties, see the topics for the individual track types.
