PChannel List
The left section of the Band Editor window contains a list of the PChannels in the band. PChannels are listed in order, from lowest to highest according to their channel number. You can use the PChannel list in three ways:
- Scroll through the list to view basic information about all PChannels in the band, such as a PChannel's name and instrument sound.
- Right-click a PChannel and click Properties on the shortcut menu, or double-click a PChannel, to open a PChannel Properties window and edit settings for the channel.
- Right-click the list to add or delete PChannels.
The following figure shows a PChannel list.
Settings in gray are inactive; that is, they will not affect the current properties of the PChannel when the band is played.
The PChannel settings are displayed in the following columns:
PCh#
Number of the channel. This value cannot be edited. See PChannel Number.
PCh Name
Name of the PChannel, used throughout the project. See PChannel Name.
Instrument
Instrument assigned to the PChannel by the band. See PChannel Instrument Assignment.
Oct and Trans
Settings for transposing the pitch. See PChannel Octave and Interval Transposition.
Priority
Rank of the channel used in determining which channels are dropped when not enough voices are available on the port. See PChannel Priority.
