Windows Media Encoder SDK banner art

The dialog box shown in the following figure is used for setting the time signature and grid division in a style, in a Pattern Track, and in a Time Signature Track in a segment that does not contain styles.

Set Time Signature and Grid dialog box

This dialog box contains the following settings:

  • Time Signature

Values for the Beats Per Measure field range from 1 to 100. The Beat field contains a drop-down list with the following values for the beat: 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, or 32, representing a whole note, half note, quarter note, eighth note, sixteenth note, and thirty-second note.

  • Grid

The value in the Divide Beat drop-down list is the number of Grid Divisions for each beat. If the beat is 4, lower values are shown as notes; for example, 2 grids per beat are shown as an eighth note.
