After records are added to a hold, you can return and view a list that shows either all holds that are placed on an individual record, or you can see a report of all records to which a particular hold has been applied. This is useful, for example, when you need to access all the items related to a particular hold. For example, you might want to export the items to a third party.

To get information about holds, you can perform the following procedures in no particular order:
View all holds on a record View all holds on a record when you want to see the list of holds to which a record has been added.
View all records on a hold View all records on a hold when you want to see all records that have been added to a particular hold.
