Chord Properties

The information in this section applies to chord properties in all components. Chords occur in the following places in Microsoft DirectMusic Producer:

• Signpost List, Chord Path Window, and Chord Palette in Chordmap Designer
• Chords for Composition track in Pattern Editor
• Chord Track in Segment Designer

The Properties Window for a chord contains the following two tabs:

• Chord/Scale Tab

  Used to design a chord.

• Chord Inversion Tab

  Used to specify the inversions that are allowed for each chord in the four chord levels.

Note In Chordmap Designer, the Properties window for a chord is called Chord Scale/Inversion Properties on the title bar. Elsewhere it is called Chord Properties. The two windows are identical.
